Dr. David E. Schroeder has been in ministry since 1969 when he started working for Christian Publications. Church, missions and Christian higher education have been the arenas of Dr. Schroeder’s ministry since the mid 70’s.  In August of 2007, he was appointed to be president of Pillar College, where he continues to serve. As New Jersey’s only accredited Christian college, Pillar plays a key role in strengthening urban churches.

A graduate of Nyack College, Manhattanville College, New York Theological Seminary and New York University, Dr. Schroeder pastored churches in New York, New Jersey and New England.  On the missional front, he has served overseas and at home with the Christian and Missionary Alliance, Trans World Radio and International Teams, and continues preaching and teaching ministries in Latin America, Asia, and Europe.

In Christ-centered higher education, David’s first passion, he has been president of Reformed Episcopal Seminary, Nyack College and Alliance Theological Seminary, and Pillar College.  During his twelve years at Nyack, the college and seminary grew from 700 to 3100 students, expanded to six extension sites, including Manhattan, and developed ten new graduate programs.  But more importantly, thousands of students were trained to be “worshipping warriors.” As college president, he has continued pastoral ministry in three NJ churches., but especially enjoys teaching courses in Bible, Theology, Worldviews, and Apologetics.

Over the years, he has served on twenty boards of not-for-profit ministries. 

Through MasterWorks, Inc., a discipling ministry he began in 1986, David is a frequent speaker at retreats and seminars, using some of the ten books he has written.  David and Betzi reside in Middlesex, NJ, have been married for over five decades, have raised three children and enjoy their eight grandchildren.

Brian has always had a passion for Christian higher education and has devoted his life to the furthering of God’s kingdom.  He has been heavily involved in various ministries throughout his life, which include serving as a deacon, overseeing Christian Education for both adults and children, leading Bible studies, heading up cell groups, working with sound and video equipment, providing tech support and participating in missions work in Scotland, Croatia, and Israel.  In 2005-07, he was a pastor at South Shore Community Church in Bridgewater, MA.  His primary role was to oversee the technology and logistics of a church of 700 congregants.  His work with the new satellite campus was especially exciting, as the church was growing steadily.   Following his time there, he, along with his wife Sheryl, was hired at Grace Chapel in Bedminster, NJ as the Christian Education Director.  Together they began developing the Sunday morning program QUEST, a Sunday school hour devoted to furthering spiritual growth amongst adults and children.  Consecutively, he devoted his time to determining a solid curriculum for the children at Grace. The program grew and reached children from birth to eighth grade. 

He was hired in 2012 at Pillar College and began working in the Student Financial Services Department.  In 2014, he was offered the role of Registrar, which is his current position.  During his time at Pillar, he began to teach classes at Pillar as an adjunct and found it to be rewarding, fulfilling calling – one that excites him on a regular basis.  So far, he has had the opportunity to teach the following classes at Pillar: Old Testament Survey, New Testament Survey, Jewish and Christian Scriptures, The Pentateuch, The Bible as Literature, History, and Literature of the Intertestamental Period, Christian Apologetics, and Survey of Worldviews.  He has his Bachelors’ degree – a double major in History and Biblical Studies – from Simpson University, a Master of Arts in Old Testament Literature, and a Masters of Divinity in Church Ministry, both from the Alliance Theological Seminary at Nyack College.  He currently resides in Glen Gardner, NJ with his wife Sheryl and his four children: Ian, Nora, Kaitlyn, and Zachary.

Giselle serves MasterWorks as the Director of Ministry Expansion.   She is a dynamic, goal-oriented leader with over 20 years of leadership experience.  She brings a broad spectrum of life experiences, and hands-on experience in directing and working with teams.  Her strong interpersonal skills and innate ability to relate to diverse personalities has enabled her to grow ministries and teams.  She has obtained a BA in Theology and MS in Organizational Leadership from Nyack College and an M.Div. from Liberty University.

 

Her expertise is leading teams with an emphasis on team leadership and development.  She has proven her leadership skills by driving groundbreaking concepts to revolutionize change initiatives that exceed expected goals to many different companies and non-profit organizations.  Her exceptional business mind and skills has enabled her to be an entrepreneur, having ownership in three successful businesses.

 

Giselle is also an ordained minister and missionary church planter with the Assemblies of God.  Alongside her husband, they have planted a church in Bayonne, NJ, and currently serve as the Lead Pastors of Journey Community Church.  Giselle is passionate about teaching and preaching the gospel. Her message is one of healing and reconciliation to all who need to hear the gospel.  She is a sought-out speaker and teacher of the bible within the Hispanic pentecostal churches.
